Goutez? Manger??

Mai O’ui Monsiuer J’adore le’ Crêpe.

And so in full continental mode GVI India invaded the beach of beautiful Fort Cochin making Crêpe, not war. Inspired by our delectable Marion’s scrumptious morning ritual we decided what the people of India need is wrapped in a mixture of flour, eggs and milk, whipped to a froth then fried before their eyes following which the drizzling of various delicious options and lo’ The Crêpe Shack was born.

Raising money for both the provision of Sewing Machines to ladies in a slum colony we support and also the establishing of a musical garden at Palluruthy Relief Settlement, our Fry Masters and Flip Mistresses took Cochin by storm raising over £30 (profit) over their two days, another great element of the fundraiser was the interaction and awareness raising opportunities it presented. Meeting local people and informing them of the situations which exist in unseen corners of their neighbourhood and making them aware of their option to participate in the enhancement and improvement of these projects was truly fulfilling and will hopefully present lots of exciting prospects moving forwards. We met social workers from the Netherlands and Uganda and beautiful people from the world over, all interested and eager to know what we are doing here in the local area, all in all a great couple of days and top fun to boot.

So what started as a naughty Breakfast routine evolved into an excellent fund/awareness raising opportunity which we are scheduled to repeat throughout 2015 so if you are coming to Cochin keep an eye on our Facebook page as you never can tell where those fiendish GVI flipsters will pop up next.
