Store your documents securely online
When we travel we need many things to sustain us - one of these is information.
When it comes to living, information is arguably a vital and valuable component of life. When you travel with GVI, you will be in possession of a lot of personal information. This ranges from your passport to insurance policies, medical information to key contact names & addresses and GVI instructions to travel tickets. However, you could be severely restricted in your movements during your travels with GVI if you were to lose this information and as a result, potentially render you incapable of doing your task as a GVI volunteer.
To help minimise the affects of this risk, GVI have teamed up with myTsafe – the ultra-secure online storage system for keeping documents, safe and accessible at all times. myTsafe allows you to store almost any type of document, photo, text file, spreadsheet, presentation etc and access it through any computer any time anywhere in the world through any of the major browsers, securely and in a user friendly manner.
If you encounter problems and you do not have a passport; provided you have a copy of myTsafe, you can have the peace of mind of having some form of identification. This will also help towards speeding up the process of getting a replacement. Your insurance papers may be lost or illegible when you need them, so to help counter this and be much greener, store a copy in myTsafe. Medical information is usually personal and again it may be vital to you but something you wish to keep private.
If you would like to share items with others then myTsafe will allow you to do this on a document by document basis with anybody else who has a myTsafe account. As a result, if you encounter difficulty, a travelling companion, parent or partner etc. to whom you have granted viewing rights can obtain that vital information to help you. However, in order to do this, it is important that they too have a myTsafe account!
Please ask us for details – a myTsafe account can be set up for you instantly, but unless otherwise requested, will be done approximately 4 weeks before your start date. You will receive an email directly from myTsafe with a voucher code so you can set up your account. The email will come from notification@mytsafe.com – please make sure it is not caught in any spam filter you may have.
You can then scan and upload any documents you wish to be securely stored in your myTsafe account for the duration of 1 year.
Existing Omneport Users – use either the existing Omneport website to login or the myTsafe website login below. myTsafe and Omneport are both driven by the same system and are fully compatible with each other. myTsafe differs only in a few ways – principally in the simpler yet secure way to re-activate your account if you forget your passwords.

- If you need it and have got it – complete satisfaction!
Please note, if you have already paid or applied for an Omneport safe, you will receive a myTsafe with increased functionality.
