The Booking Process
Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information
Volunteers should get a return flight to and from Hosea Kutako International Airport in Winhoek (WDH). We recommend you arrive the day before your start date by 11am, allowing you time to take an overland transfer to Swakopmund. Transfers (approx 5 hours) and overnight accommodation can be arranged by project staff. Alternatively you can book a return flight to and from Rooikop Airport in Walvis Bay (WVB). We recommend you arrive the day before your start date. Transfers (approx 30 mins) and accommodation can be arranged by project staff.
