What's Included
All food and accommodation; airport transfers; expedition equipment and training; basic Spanish tuition; ‘Introduction to TEFL’ training; the comprehensive training necessary for research techniques; overnight satellite camps in the forest to explore the reserve; a four-day Amazonian adventure exploration side trip; a bush craft and survival skills course; an emergency first aid course; 24-hour in-country support and a 24-hour emergency phone line.

Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information
You will need to fly to Ecuador's international airport ‘Mariscal Sucre’, in the country’s capital city of Quito. Our expedition staff are available to meet you at the airport and transfer you to a hostel in the city if your arrival is scheduled for the day prior to, or the morning of, the expedition start date. Please make sure you arrive before the start date of the expedition or by 10 am on the first day at the very latest.
