What's Included

Pre-departure support and discounted services, food and accommodation during the expedition, training materials and science equipment, comprehensive training for research projects, wilderness navigation training, basic emergency Spanish tuition, First Aid training based in the wilderness, 24-hour in-country support, a 24-hour emergency phone line in the UK, and a free Careers Abroad fieldwork placement and job vacancy service is available for ALL former expedition members (successful placement depend upon aptitude and attitude).

What's Not Included

Flights, medical and travel insurance, official First Aid certification, personal kit, spending money, visa, innoculations and medication.

Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information

The expedition team will meet at the first day of the expedition at 14:00 PM at 'Refugio Patagonia' in San Carlos de Bariloche, Rio Negro. After being welcomed by the Country Director, the team will transfer to the training camp, just outside San Carlos de Bariloche, to start the expedition training phase.
