Volunteer Travel in Latvia
Latvia is a remarkably beautiful country in which the large rural majority of the country leads a highly agricultural existence amongst the fertile plains and the vast pine forests surrounded by the stunning remains of medieval castles. With an abundance of wildlife that includes wolves and wild boar (despite being extinct in many other European countries), numerous crystal-clear rivers and Baltic Sea access; this small country is a fantastic place in which to volunteer overseas.
Latvias capital city, Riga, is a beautiful and historic place that contains many of the more celebrated sights of Baltic Europe, such as the huge, thirteenth century Doma Cathedral, the towering St Peters Church and the spectacular architecture of the older part of the city which lies in wait to take your breath away at every turn. A country with great natural beauty, an ever-present history and the opportunity for water sports and even skiing; volunteer travel in Latvia has so much to offer.
