Volunteer Travel in Thailand
Thailand is an extremely popular destination for visitors with adventure in mind. For some the plentiful cultural attractions, such as the extraordinary temples, ruined cities from throughout the ages and the impressive Grand Palace with its enormous Reclining Buddha, give Thailand its appeal. For others, its more about the stuppa-studded mountains of Mae Hong Son, the tropical islands and coral reefs teeming with a variety of marine life, and the untouched rainforest inhabited by monkeys and exotic birds. Few can resist the famous cuisine, enjoyed in front of fabulous sunsets along some of the worlds best beaches.
Yet volunteer travel in Thailand is also about just experiencing the buzz of everyday life, be that on the busy streets of Bangkok or the remote and barely accessible country villages, dancing at full-moon parties on Ko Pha Ngan or floating down the Mekong River. The friendly people, diverse landscape and abundant culture of Thailand have something to offer anybody on a volunteer adventure.
