Volunteer Travel in Namibia
Namibia is a land of spectacular landscapes being a world filled with endless sand dunes, beautiful flats shimmering in the heat, thick fog swallowing the coastline and hillsides full with the promise of glittering riches. Within the stunning vistas there are tremendous adventures to be enjoyed whilst volunteering in Namibia. Visit the Etosha Pan to see impala, zebra and elephants, and, if you catch the few days each year when the rains provide the basin with a temporary lake, see beautiful flamingos and white pelicans. Travel the Namib Desert, skirting the famous Skeleton and Diamond Coasts, and arrive in the largest diamond producing region on the planet.
In comparison to the dry landscapes and dramatic topography of much of Namibia (such as Fish River Canyon, second in size only to the Grand Canyon), rising 150 meters above the surrounding plains the central Waterberg Plateau is a lush, fertile oasis that is home to a range of unusual animal species. If you are looking to volunteer overseas in a wild, sparsely-populated land with an untamed magnificence that will stay with you long after you have left, Namibia is bound to appeal.
