Volunteer Travel in Mozambique
From beautiful, palm-fringed beaches to majestic little-explored mountains, towns of charming colonial architecture to small islands scattered with historical monuments; the remarkable country of Mozambique has so much to offer anyone who ventures here. Although the country has suffered a turbulent past, a peace deal made in 1992 ended 16 years of civil conflict and now Mozambique is slowly progressing into position as a tourist destination. Therefore we advise anyone thinking of volunteering in Mozambique to do it now, before the tourist masses do!
Any volunteers that are interested in wildlife can explore Mozambique’s many parks and reserves to see rare birds and big game, or scuba dive to see the abundance of colorful marine life that includes dolphins, clown fish and turtles. You can also water-ski along Mozambique’s beautiful coastline, bathe in one of the country’s many lagoons or pick up trinkets in one of Mozambique’s colorful markets.
