Refreshment TEFL Course in Thailand

Throughout many parts of the world, and especially in Asia, the demand for English language teachers is extremely high. Increasingly organisations that hire English teachers desire competent and confident teachers who have previous experience teaching the English language in a classroom. The purpose of this GVI TEFL course is to assist new TEFL teachers to develop their experience and skills by teaching real students in an authentic classroom setting, and have well structured support and assistance when required.

GVI staff, and TEFL students and graduates teach at the Ao Luk Non Formal Education Centre and other venues in and around Ao Luk. Formal English lessons from GVI’s curriculum are taught (across six ability levels) to adult students and adult members of various focus groups, such as medical and rescue workers, teachers and park rangers. Participants will observe and evaluate other teacher’s lessons and will have their trainers and peers observe and evaluate their own teaching. You have the option to team-teach lessons in the first week, to assist in confidence-building, and will receive advice in areas including classroom management, error correction and teaching pronunciation.
