Madagascar, the island nation located off the coast of Africa, is a true hidden gem that offers a diverse range of activities for visitors looking for an unforgettable holiday experience. Madagascar is also known for its Baobab trees, also called “upside-down trees”, these ancient giants can live up to 800 years and grow up to 30 metres tall. They are found all over the island, and are considered sacred by the Malagasy people. Visitors can take a trip to the Avenue of the Baobabs, a dirt road lined with these majestic trees and considered one of the most beautiful natural sites in Madagascar.
When it comes to travelling to Madagascar, the main international airport is located in the capital city of Antananarivo, from where you can take domestic flights or drive to reach other destinations. The best time to visit is between April and November, as this is the dry season and the weather is generally sunny and dry.
