Arrival And Departure Information
Volunteers should get a return flight to and from Mariscal Sucre Airport in Quito (UIO), where you will spend a week studying Spanish. The flights to the islands will be booked for you in advance by our local partners and you will need to pay for these in cash during your week in Quito. We advise that you do not book your return flight on the same day as you depart from the project site or the Galapagos islands. These flights can occasionally be subject to delays, therefore GVI, nor the project partners, cannot be responsible for missed connections. Allow yourself sufficient time in your planning to make your international flight (preferably a minimum of one night in Quito between leaving the Galapagos and departing for your international journey).
