What's Included

Pre-departure support and discounted services, food and accommodation, 24-hour in-country support, a 24-hour emergency phone, transport to and from Bariloche, technical kit, group kit, professional mountain guides and national park permits.

What's Not Included

International flights, medical and travel insurance, personal kit, spending money, visa, innoculations and personal medication.

The Booking Process

Once GVI receives your application form, one of our experienced regional coordinators will give you a call to find out if you have any further questions, or simply want to find out more about volunteering. All GVI staff regularly visit the project sites, and have volunteered and travelled themselves, so have an in-depth knowledge and boundless enthusiasm that ensures your application process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Arrival And Departure Information

The summit team will meet on the first day of the trek at 09:00 AM at 'Refugio Patagonia' in San Carlos de Bariloche, Rio Negro. After being welcomed by the GVI staff, the team will transfer to the training camp, just outside of Bariloche, to start the preparation for the Tronador trek.

Volunteers can either fly into Santiago de Chile in Chile (SCL) or Buenos Aires in Argentina (EZE) and then take either a flight or bus down to San Carlos de Bariloche (BRC).
