Hello everyone
Another sunny day here in Kerala.  The morning starts with the sounds of the Muslims singing, later, at 6:30 AM, the Christians can be heard.  Just outside the window,  one hears the crow of the rooster, and at about 6:30 AM, he crows twice in a row, which means, GET UP!!  The little birds call out, and really, they are so excited that a new day is beginning—you have to be as well!!
Each day brings new and exciting opportunities, and as one engages, life in this rich and vibrant country unfolds.  Today is Tuesday, and we have it off because the Mother General is here, and there is a conference for the nuns.  So, what will we do??  A good opportunity to get caught up with laundry, lesson planning, trip planning, shopping, experiencing  the Elephant Festival across the water at Enakulum, and going to the gym!!  Yes, a really good gym, only a few minutes away, to sweat off the pounds that one gains eating the amazing food here!!!
The picture is one taken last week when we spent the day playing with the children.  This is a picture of the wonderful location and playground for the boys at their home.  They loved our visit.  We played board games, read books, did a puppet play, and  some drumming.  At the end of the time, each child came to shake our hands and thanked us for the visit—so heart felt, and heart warming!!
